This weekend's accomplishments

It was a very creative and fun weekend for me. Much progress was made on my haunted dollhouse project. All of my mini living dead dolls were received and now waiting for me to finish their new home. I finished all of the main buiding prep and paint, assembled all of the walls, floors and roof structure. I also began refurbishment of a lot of miniture items, some from an Ebay odd lot I bought and some that I have made from polymer clay. My dear friend Angela came over and we painted mini items till 3am, unusual for me for sure. She did a fabulous job haunting some knives, cleavers and other torture tools. I built a restraint chair and painted some recycled items to go in the new house. I've been trying to think up a name for the new home to be, but so far haven't found the right one. At just 4 rooms it's not large enough to be a manor, too many windows for a dungeon -I'm leaning toward Gorey Gardens. That name would be good for a few reasons. I'm a big fan of Grey Gardens, it will be gory, I love Gorey's artwork, and it will have a garden -I mean graveyard. Angela has promised to haunt a My Little Pony to live in the yard as well. I'm getting really excited about how it is beginning to take shape. Now I just need to figure out how to wire it. Hmmm? Til next time, Creatrix

Creative adventure of the day

My first creative adventure today is to create a blog. I will use this blog to rave about my creative pursuits and to complain during times of inertia. In mundane life, I am currently trying to hire a painter for my house and as always working for the weekend. Currently, I am creating a haunted dollhouse for my Living Dead Doll minis. It is my first ever dollhouse, or model of any kind. I'm finding that sticking to the construction steps in the kit and waiting for the paint to dry on each tiny piece somewhat daunting. It is helping me exercise patience as I go through the process of paint, wait, turn over, paint, wait, place and glue, wait.
